11 days to go!

Normally we would have just returned from Savant Lake, but some scheduling quirks pushed our trip back a few weeks this year. So on July 12, our (smaller than usual) group of 6 will head for Cat Track Lodge and the magical waters of Savant. One new guy on the trip - always a treat watching newbies get wowed by that incredible fishery!

I'm too worn out from preparing for this trip to come up with anything that would be remotely close to keeping anyone on their toes.

Anyway i'm sure he will keep everyone on their toes and maybe just maybe somebody will have something up their sleeve for him.

You had better keep him on an extremely short leash then!

Make sure to keep a wide mouth pee bucket always handy for Mr. Shorthorn..... in fact I would make him strap it to his person at all times! He has the smallest bladder out of everyone Iíve ever met!

I will say prayers for everyone that deals with him on your trip..... Trust me youíll need it!

Omg it's finally here

We leave Friday morning for Nakina, Ontario and then off to the Attawapiskat River system for a week of fishing in the bush. We generally go end of May so this wait has been tough to say the least. Good news is we are going to get end of May like temps and weather it appears! Hoping the bugs are out of business during this slight temp decline!!! Wishful thinking. Oh well, don't really care just need to get on the road.

Good luck and travel safe!
