If your Helix has autochart live I would use that with a zero lines card instead of creating maps with one of the programs. It takes the same amount of time to cover the water thoroughly but then you're done. The program takes quite a bit more time to create the map. If you're into the computer work, really want the additional overlay features or want to make chips for other units the program is definitely the best choice.
As for the lakes you want to fish, liveshare is very spotty. I'd go to the site and see how well they're mapped.

Lakemaster, Autochart or Both?
Right now I have the navionics chip that came free with my Helix 7 and it works fine but just picked up an ipilot link upgrade head for my terrova and want to be able to utilize it so I need to run an autochart or lakemaster chip. I will continue to make my own charts so I am going to get the autochart blank chip and software.
I fish Green Bay and a lot of inland lakes in Northern Wisconsin. For guys that run this setup do you run both chips or is there enough on the autochart liveshare to just use that?
