You get it? The hunting community made yeti. Yes, that is not directly the nra, but dang close. Now the political climate pressures and its time to turn and go? Come on. I will choose the competition, again.

undguy I would say buying or not buying from an anti second amendment company would have little or no effect on the US economy, unlike buying Chinese made products.

My sentiments exactly

terrapin I agree with the previous poster about Yeti. I have a slush fund where I throw my loose change or bonus cash; I use that money for luxuries. Over the years Iíve managed to get a pretty good collection of Yeti products. Iíve never been disappointed. My hunting buddies made fun of me for wasting money... then the next year they all showed up to camp with Yeti coolers.

undguy I donít have experience with the soft sided coolers but my son and I just got back from elk hunting in Wyoming. We put half the meat in a hard sided Yeti and the other half in an identical Rtic. When we got home the most of the ice had melted in the Rtic (water was still quite cold) but the ice in the Yeti looked the same as when we packed it. Both coolers were in open pickup box. Temp was about 75. If I was younger I would buy a Yeti.

Walmart and many other companies are also copying the Yeti.
Besides that, I have read that the Yeti patent protection is up. Bring on the clones!

Thunderjet I am IMPRESSED. Yesterday we did an all day road trip. Packed the cooler with a ice pack and 3 trays of ice cubes, 4 - 16 ounce bottles of soda and 2 sandwiches. Cooler sat in the back of the Expedition and during the day outside temps got as hot as 97.
After 12 hours on the road we made it home and there was not a drop of water in the cooler. All the ice remained frozen and even the one remaining soda had ice in the bottle.

Worth every penny, and glad I did not buy the smallest size.
