The XI3 is about the same. It has a really poor audible tone. The shaft on mine broke in three months. Fortunately motor guide replace it. Mine has the GPS and Spot Lock and I am selling it.

Thank you! I'm a 12V/54" user, so the Cabela's 52# is close enough. I see there's a $400 difference between the (2) 52#/54" models they offer, can I assume the $899 not only has the Pinpoint GPS but also the built-in sonar transducer? They have unique model numbers, so I can't compare to your model number chart.

Of course it all depends on your boat's specific needs. the size of your boat (weight, side wall height, etc) and battery space are two major limiting factors you will need to evaluate to determine the shaft length and pound thrust needed for your boat.

motorguideco Main Differences: Voltage and Thrust options, mount and latches, and what's included in the box.

Xi3: Available in 12v and 24v options with thrusts of 45, 55, and 70 pounds max shaft length is 60"
Xi5: Available in 12v, 24v, and 36v options with thrusts of 55, 80, and 105 pounds max shaft length is 72"
