Any Archers Frequent the board?
Hey Fella's:

Just curious how many of you are archery enthuesiasts? Spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon scouting out a shelter belt not far from my home place. Hope to get a stand put up there this afternoon. Kinda of excited now for the upcoming season. Archery opener is Sept. 27 here in SD. Recommend any good archery forums here on the net??

I'm almost afraid to admit it here, but I'm more passionate about bow hunting deer than I am walleye fishing - probably because I can target walleye pretty much year-round, and Michigan's archery season is limited to 10 weeks. All my stands have been hung in preparation for the 2003 season.

Yep, only a month away and the herd in the thumb area(Mich.) is HUGE!!The landowner actually wants us to take a few does out this year. Hunting there the past 25yrs. and have only taken bucks, no real trophys but several nice 8 and 10 pts. CAN'T WAIT for Oct.1!!!! Good luck guys. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~><> AL

I have been shooting for the last month every night getting ready for my elk hunt in CO. Can't wait. My stands for MO deer hunting will go up when I get back from CO. We leave Sept 5th so we can hunt with the full moon.

My feeling about hunting have matured to the point that archery deer hunting and upland bird hunting are all that I truly enjoy. The solitude of archery hunting and the almost intimate nature of the sport make it the most intense experience. I am afraid I won't impress anyone with my equipment... I shoot an "old" (90s era) Oneida Eagle... It works for me and when I figure out how It works... I 'll share that bit of engineering...

I love the fall time of year, if the tempature is above 65 degrees I go walleye fishing while if it is below that I go bow hunting here in Ohio. There is nothing like fishing on gorgouse fall days with the trees turning colors. In contrast there is nothing like hunting on cool crisp fall mornings when there is no wind and you can hear every noise in the woods, and a little chipmunk sounds like a 250 lbs deer in the woods. The fall time of year is absolutly the best time of year.....BRING IT ON!!!!!!!

Man, funny you should ask! I've been fondling my Mathews Legacy most of the night, getting her ready for an elk hunt in New Mexico next month.

Try http://www.fastestbows.com They don't appear to pull any punches on product reviews, which kinda makes me sad because the current online issue has an article blasting carbon scent-elimination suits. I was counting on those to help me get up close and personal with some whitetails later this year.

You may not use their products, but http://www.pse-archery.com is a good site, too, with a pretty active message board.

Let's all keep one another posted on our bowhunting exploits this season! And in the spring, it'll be time to bowfish...

Bow season opens Sep 13 in Wisconsin. I have been seeing some very nice bucks by my house and on the side of the road driving into town and back. Also seeing alot of does with fawns yet. This should be a great Bow season. I hope.
