Smallmouth Bass

I realize that this is a walleye site but know that guys do fish for smallies. Im from Chicago and am recently retired and have time on my hands and always wanted to try for smallies in the fall on Lake Erie. I have heard that Ruggles reef is a spot for fall smallies and just would like to hear from anyone that can add anything more to this topic... thanks in advance.

You will find smallies in the fall in the same locations as the spring. Usually late September they will move back shallower into 15-35 fow. The trigger is cooling water temps in the mid 60's down into the 50's. Below 50 degrees and they head deeper for the winter. Rock reef areas are prime.

Get yourself an Indiana license and fish the south end of Lake Michigan spring and early summer. In the fall, follow the bait. Pic is from Sturgeon Bay

Hey buddy how are you doing. At least I included the recent ugly mug shot instead of the older ugly mug shot.
