I use 8.5 foot medium power for dipseys on Erie. I wouldn't want any stiffer for dipseys. I have never ran down riggers.

I have all Diawa. 4 are Accudepths and 8 are the Sealine. I only troll for walleyes using boards and dipsies. I haven't had any issues. I haven't used any other brand so nothing to compare them...

I had that same combo as you have. I ran a 21 pitch Rev 4. That will give you about 5800-6000 RPM and 57-58 MPH. My motor was mounted in the highest position.

I started with Diawa Accudepth reels and never had any issues. I sill run 4 of them today. They are going on 6 years now. Just back the drags off if you won't be using them for awhile.
