RE: Almost time / How much time?

Last year we were out on the lake from about 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Then come in for a few hours, hit the afternoon Lake Trout bite from about 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, then get out for 'eyes around 6:00 PM -...

RE: Lake Beauchene, Quebec

Yeah...I realize that $1350.00 US is a fair amount of scratch for a week of fishing. I'm sure my better half would have more to say about it than that.

However, like many things in life, I...

RE: Lake Beauchene, Quebec

I talked to the manager today and asked about a trip for summer 2004 to one of their outpost cabins. I asked for a "quick quote" including taxes, boats...gas..everything. Mind you, this is in U.S....

One of my buddies was asking me about this "Reserve" lake a little NE of North Bay, Ontario...just east of the Ottawa River. I was wondering if anyone out there has experience fishing there or any...

RE: Black flies

Grin and bear it...nothing works on those little buggers. 100% DEET...nope. Skin So Soft....nope. Garlic....nope. B1....nope.

There is not any advice that really works. It mostly has to do with...

RE: Terrorist alert and border crossing

I crossed several weeks ago when it was at Orange alert level and had no problems. The wait time was not significant (5-10 minutes) and the border guards asked the same questions they always ask. I...

Gunisao Lake - Manitoba

I saw in the 2003 Manitoba Fishing & Hunting magazine that this lake is credited with about 40% of the walleye Master Angler listings. It's unbelieveable!

Has anyone out there ever fished this...

RE: Knee Lake Resort / Utik Lake Lodge

We're looking for summer 2004...so I think we should be okay. I spoke to the Dir of Mktg at Knee Lake Resort and he didn't indicate any haste was necessary.

Can I translate "commercial netting"...

Knee Lake Resort / Utik Lake Lodge

Does anyone have any experience with this outfitter? I know Utik Lake Lodge is relatively new and the lake "nearly unfished for the past 20 years"....or so they say. Both lakes are in northeastern...

RE: Ever book with a Canadian Lodge at a Sport Show?

I've never booked at a show before, but I know camp owners pour on the sugar when discussing their accommodations, fishing...etc.

I have been over southern and eastern Ontario, middle Ontario...

RE: what rod do you use?

I've used a Berkley Phazer for about 10 years and love it...6' one-piece Med Fast....great walleye rod. I received a 6' St. Croix last year as a gift to "replace" my old Phazer and it's also very...

Stranded on a Canadian Lake Island

Sleemans Lager or Labatt Blue? Which would you choose if you could only have one case.

Have been to Lake Kipawa, QC the last three years and love it. Great fishing, beautiful scenery, and nice hospitality. Fished all over in Ontario for over 20 years until 1999 and already prefer...
