The 12 volt will be fine as long as you do not fish any rivers in the spring time with lots of current. Had a 12 volt on my Lund Preditor 16 foot and spring time the 12 volt would not cut it.

It is either seals are going bad or one of the valves are leaking best is rebuild it I would imagine it is leaking under pressure while you are running if it is leaking while just sitting there.
