I would definitely rule out battery issues first, i believe these motors need a certain voltage to operate the injector assist pumps and if the voltage is too low they will turn over and not start.

Did Evinrude Change recommended plugs ?

I went to order new plugs for my 2001 150 ficht today and the plug recommended by sparkplugs.com search engine (QC12GMC ) did not match the plugs I have previously run in this outboard ( XC12PEPB )....
