Either add a snap weight to get it down deeper or...

Either add a snap weight to get it down deeper or try it on 10lb braid with a 10lb mono leader. Either choice will get you down 5 feet deeper based on a 1 ounce weight or 10lb braid.

You will find smallies in the fall in the same locations as the spring. Usually late September they will move back shallower into 15-35 fow. The trigger is cooling water temps in the mid 60's down...
