There is a Mobil station right on 51 just north of Minocqua (Hazelhurst) that I am pretty sure has diesel. It's on the east side of 51 next to a log-style restaurant.

I guess waiting for the 150 Yamaha 4 stroke would be the thing to do. My only worry how much $$$. and will they be available next spring. I know there has been problems in the past with new motors...

Best HP for a 1700 fisherman

We are looking at buying the 1700 fisherman this summer. The package at the dealer is set up with the 115 Yamaha, as are a lot of others I have seen on this site. Question is, is 115 really enough....

Not sure what speed your Explorer will do, but I have a merc 60 4 stroke on a Crestliner Fish hawk 1650. Its a little lighter then the lund so speed might be a little different.

Yea, but the Merc is American owned. Buy American! I've got a '97 Merc 50hp 4 stroke on my 1660 Pro-v tiller. Top end is 32 mph gps.

Lowrance temp/speed problems

I have two X-85's on my boat with temp/speed sensor for the counsel. Speed works but temp doesn't even when I switch units. I thought that the cable must be damaged but they won't work on my buddies...

My 1900 Pro-V came rigged on the port side. I like this set-up for most situations allowing you to keep the motor in the corner of your eye at all times. I do not like this set-up for handlining...

I used it on my black Trailmaster and it works well. It will stop most chips but not all. I used the clear on the fenders and the black on the undercarriage.
