I have both. The 5" is plenty big enough for ice fishing, and you don't have to worry as much about battery consumption with the smaller screen.

Which Throttle Control to buy?

I've found Controllking, TROLLmaster, and iTroll. Any I'm not seeing, and pros/cons on each? I have a 9.9 Yamaha I want to hook this up to.

This marina doesn't do that. Is there a place I can send them that's cost effective? A new kicker wasn't that expensive, and I hate to keep pouring money into the old one.

It's in either the head or the block. I was told it would be tough to see unless the motor is up to temp, or hot.

I'm the 3rd owner of the boat. The fact the motor is 18yrs old I'm not gonna ask...

Well, I have a '02 Yamaha T8 I'll be parting out. Tore it apart, and couldn't find anything. The tech at the Marina I work at, and myself, got on the phone with Yamaha tech dealer support this...

Now that I think about it, I sat in the shanty with my wife last season. She used my ICE55 while I used the HELIX 5 G2. No issues at all.

I figured a gasket as well. The Thermostat stuff I read couldn't put that much moisture in the oil. Thanks guys. Off to the dealer it goes.

Yamaha T8 (2002) getting water in the oil

Went to change my oil the other day and it looked like a vanilla milkshake. We did 4 oil changes to get the oil to finally come out looking like oil. Trolled on the engine for 16 hours over two days...
