+1, I run the 998c SI HD at the helm on my new boat and my last boat. It does everything I need, I agree with having a little larger size for SI. I run the 898 on the bow.

You could use a dipsy diver. How deep does the SR7 normally troll? I've had good success with Dipsy divers running deeper water, takes a little to get used to though.

Does the Smartcraft gauges allow you to drop the RPM's down to troll slower with the main motor? I doubt it will get down to walleye speeds but what are you seeing for the lowest speeds?

Picking up a brand new Lund 1875 Pro-V with the Mercury 175 Verado. Is this a good engine? I have run mainly Suzuki and Yamaha.
