Vertical jigging is the popular method, a few handline, I have yet to see someone troll. It would be not a great idea on the weekend with thousands of boats moving down the river at 1-2mph.

Gen 3 gps has the same capability as the point 1. So unless you want your gps source antenna in a location other than the gen 3 unit, I would say no.

If the "full" reels were reading 50' then the line counter is broken. I have 2 just like that. I have not done anything yet to fix them, 1 managed to get back into the 18 good ones, just been busy.
