Not sure where you live, but if your fishing less than 18" of ice and have a cordless drill with a brushless motor, the K-drills are hard to beat. Last year I was able to drill 27 holes through ~14"...

The US2 is traditional 2D sonar only, it doesn't support DI. IMHO it is a pretty low quality transducer, almost any external transducer you mount on it will be an improvement. Not trying to bash it,...
