I am using 2 bolts thru the frame at the top of the slots. Trailer is a Shorelandr with a rubber pad removed. With the boat on the trailer the bracket has nowhere to go.

The Bullseye guides are s good tool also pending ramp and rough water. Having 4 is a good choice with them being 18" tall. Love the rotating feature.
