I have trim tabs on my DVX 20. I would say they are not a must have but a very nice option. I have used them more than once in big water and have been very pleased.

I have them on a separate stick. I didn't want them on the trolling motor. Wasn't sure how they would work with spot lock on. This way I can have spot lock on and still point it where ever I want....
