Telescoping Trolling Rods

Iíll second the Okuma deadeye. I have a couple 7í10Ē rods and they are my favorite longline rods. The best feature is the triangular foregrip. Keeps the rod from rotating while playing a fish.

The Silver Max does indeed have the switch. I have two that I use for BB and casting. I have been very happy with their performance for BB use and the price is right. Got both of them for $95 on eBay.

Hawker is right. I donít know if it matters on smaller vessels, but the NMEA2000 standards recommend powering the backbone from somewhere in the center (console) if possible.
