I believe I put fender washers under the console and mounted it side to side. Been that way for 4 years, no issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to put a 12” graph if you can get it to fit.

Mine is a 9”...

Telescoping Trolling Rods

I’ll second the Okuma deadeye. I have a couple 7’10” rods and they are my favorite longline rods. The best feature is the triangular foregrip. Keeps the rod from rotating while playing a fish.

Compass is built into the transducer. No separate module needed unless you want to add the SteadyCast heading sensor.

The Silver Max does indeed have the switch. I have two that I use for BB and casting. I have been very happy with their performance for BB use and the price is right. Got both of them for $95 on eBay.

Hawker is right. I don’t know if it matters on smaller vessels, but the NMEA2000 standards recommend powering the backbone from somewhere in the center (console) if possible.
