Occasionally in the middle of a hot sunny day a few guys will go after perch. I usually take a nap instead ... :)
A couple guys in camp did come in one night with 15 jumbo perch. Nothing under 12"...

Wabaskang Report 6/23-6/29
Another great trip to Jim and Julie's Wabaskang Camp! No travel issues in US and 502/105 were in the best shape I have seen in the last 10 years.
Water levels were low (1.5-2') but it rained hard...

Figured that it happened like you said or he swerved to avoid a critter and somehow found the path that he traveled before getting perched on the ledge. Could have been much worse!

Started with canoe only wilderness trip to Quetico in 1997 ... missed only one year (bad back) until 2009. Started going to Wabaskang in 2010 when my son was 11. Haven't missed since ... looks like...

I leave @ 7:00am from northside (Noblesville) and meet BIL on 74 near Crawfordsville @ 8:00am. We take 74 to 39 to miss Chicago. Arrive in Iron Mountain around 7:00pm. Have nice meal, sleep 8 hours...

June 23-30 Jim & Julie's
9th year @ Jim and Julie's on south end. I'm pretty excited as last time (2014 or 2015) we had late ice out we had our best fishing ever in late June. Water level was high and fish were shallow....

Mixed group
We have a mixed group of 10-12 ... 4-5 adults and 7-8 teens.
Adults get up early (6:00-6:30) eat a quick breakfast and on the water by 7:00. Fish until 10:00 or so and then come back to camp to...
