[Rather Be Lucky]

I have a Ruger#1 in .243.. and am struggling with the eye relief with my (not worthy Simmons 6-18x40 scope) . I have offset mounts and scope is mounted as far back as possible. I can hold 1" group @10x but when cranked to 18x I have to pull it into my shoulder so tight for eye relief that I see the cross-hairs twitch with my heart beat.. and group is no longer acceptable. So I need some suggestions on a new (worthy scope) for this fine rifle. What do fellow owners of #1's use? Have to keep the price reasonable even if I loose some power. I want the power for a hopeful future prairie dog hunt.
