The Ranger Trail Head of Engineering told me its not the bunk board but the actual frame supporting the bunk he wanted under the back edge of the transom. He said 2" over hang was fine but not much more..so take that for whatever it is worth....maybe nothing....
You might just call Shorelander and the boat manufacturer and ask them about the overhang? just an idea....
Like Ive said before, I ended up putting stairs on and only use the drotto up north for week long trips...the stairs solve a lot. In reservoirs around here, windy wild landings on trailers arent what they are up north...
