Afternoon found me fossil hunting in the Jurassic marine sandstones that birder parts of the reservoir. Echoes of 160 million year old beaches and seas.

Tiny clams.

Shrimp burrows.
Also found some more recent remains.

The wind started howling and a mud line appeared on some of the points. Hot ****! Time to throw the shad rap again!

Last fish of the day.
I’ll give it another shot tomorrow morning before continuing on my pilgrimage to Seminoe. Incidentally, if you want a cool, Al Lindner-approved hat like mine, you have two choices:
1) go dig in your closet for the 25 year old hat you bought for $10, but never wore (my personal preference) or
2) try to find one on eBay (I wouldn’t recommend this and am shocked what some people will pay to look as cool as me and Al)

Until next time, stay safe, and catch some walleye for cryin’ out loud!
