Default New prop vibration issue

I have a 2012 ranger reata 1850rs w/ 150 verado and replaced the 19p tempest with a 17p quicksilver Q4 (supposedly the same as the Rev4). Prop did what I wanted it to but now I have a vibration at idle which goes away as soon as I apply throttle. I bought the prop from a "reputable" prop shop in MN and they were great with the sale of the prop. After I tried it and noticed the vibration I called him and he said that is common and I need a different hub kit which I was fine with since it sounded like an easy fix. On three separate occasions I gave him my CC number (he never charged it) and attempted to order this part from him. He has since stopped answering his phone and wont return my voicemails. Not sure if he closed or what but the issue is I can't remember what hub kit he said I need. Anybody know what hub kit will fix my issue?

With a Merc motor, I believe you need the flo torq 4 hub kit for 150Hp+ motors. I know the smaller 115 going to a 4 blade Spitfire need the 3.

Would like a double check on that.

X3, The flo torque IV was designed specifically to get rid of prop chatter in Verados in the 135-200 hp range.

Also note Mercury just came out with the SSR hub that is supposed to be even better than the Flo torque IV

My experience with my Rev 4 is that you are going to feel that prop quite a bit. It is a heavy prop. To that end, you definetely need to have the correct hub kit when running it. If the kit does not do the trick, your prop may be out of balance like mine was. Once that was fixed it peformed like I anticipated. Good Luck.

Just I thought. If you hit rocks you may have a slightly bent shaft. I chased what I thought was a bad prop only to later learn I had a bent shaft. It was so slight the lower unit seals were not damaged, but screwed my performance up pretty good.
