Default 72" Xi5 shaft now a reality

Just got off the phone with MG and am very pleased to report the 72" Xi5 shaft is now a reality. They have a part # but no price yet, should be all taken care of by Oct.1 . So for all you guys like me that were jonesing for a 72" shaft upgrade, you're prayers are now answered. My order is going in on the first

Here is an update: Just got off the phone with Cabelas and apparently nothing has changed, which has me pretty bummed, Motorguide still has not assigned a price so the service station cannot order it. They were told to just periodically check back. Not the news i wanted. I will update as soon as something changes.

Not sure if I would rely on cabelas if you want one soon

I added a screen shot off MG website and they do list this with a part number

I seen that Ready2Fish, that's the complete trolling motor . I am talking about a 72" replacement shaft which I also have a part number for. Motorguide themselves have not put a price on it yet and will not fill orders until they assign a price and are ready to ship. I talked to them at the end of Sept. and they gave me the number but did say no assigned price but should be assigned by Oct. 1st, that was reason for my original post. Cabelas called them today as I wanted to order but Motorguide told them they still have no set price.

She said I'm getting it at cost which was just under 47 dollars plus tax.
