Default Where do you stay fishing Lake Winnebago WI?

Looking for a place for me and the wife to stay first time? Will have our boat with us, so parking where we can charge it up would be prefered.

A place that we can have dinner and cocktails without driving would be a plus.

Thanks

I like the Wolf River House in Winneconne,...

They have cottages, rooms etc,...

Never had a problem charging a boat,..

Short walk across the bridge to Fin and Feather Showboat,...Good food and drinks,...Plus other pubs just up the street,....

Thanks you S. Larson. I will check it out. I have been to Fin and Feather before. Been a while but good eats and cold beer from what I remember.

There are a bunch of hotels in Oshkosh that cater to fishermen. That's where all the pro's stay for the National Walleye Tour. Plus your close to bago.

I recommend the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites (Oshkosh). Power outside, well lit, centrally located, pool, pizza place right next door with a bar, or the Hangar across the street (restaurant with bar). 24th St. and Fugelberg Park launches are just east a few miles.

FYI, bait shops are a bit hard to come by nowadays around here, so I recommend bringing your own bait.

I stay in Fond Du Lac at the Holiday Inn off of Military Ave (across the street from Mercury Marine). I purchase my bait at Dutch's Trading Post located on Main St. in FDL. It's on my way to the lake and the prices are reasonable.

I’m not sure how big of a boat you have, but Oshkosh is center lake and easier to get to better fishing areas.

I think he is just saying Oshkosh would be a good place to stay because it is centrally located.

Taking a smaller boat from the south end to the north half is a long trek with even a 12 mph north wind
