Default NASCAR Fantasy League

It's February, and time to resurrect the Walleye Central NASCAR fantasy league. I may have a leg up this year, because I met a guy in a bar last weekend who was (or at least claimed to be) the uncle of Tony Stewart's new crew chief.

I've never done the fantasy thing. Can you give a quick synopsis of how it works?

First off, it's free, and all you can win is bragging rights.

Basic Gist:
Each week before qualifying you pick a team of eight drivers, after qualifying you narrow your team down to four that you want for the race. You accumulate points based on how well your four drivers do in the race.

Gory Details:
1. You can only use each driver in a maximum of 13 races over the course of the year.
2. At the beginning of the year, they divide the drivers into three groups based on expected quality. Before qualifying, you pick two drivers from the A group, four from the B group, and two from the C group. For the race itself, you choose one from the A group, two from the B group, and one from the C group.

One bump before the season starts on Sunday.

Bad news for the latecomers: The award for best team name has been pretty much locked up by Somebodyslaplogano.

I signed up. I haven't followed it very close for a few years but this should make it a little interesting. Thanks Homer.
