Default Hurricane Dorian

Spent the last couple of days getting ready. Run and service the generator, getting the window A/C units ready, storing all outside furniture, power cords uncoiled, gas cans filled, 4 flats of bottled water, spare batteries, vehicles fueled, cold drinks(beer), spare cash on hand. ready for the storm right? Last night our home A/C takes a dump ARRRGH! Looks like Central Fl is going to get a ton of rain. Our local lakes are already high, won't take much to put many of the docks under water.

Stay safe. However living in Florida you should come to expect storms & hurricanes much the same way I expect snow & ice.

Thanks, Irma hit us head on 2 years ago winds of 115mph for 2.5 hrs, ran on generator power for 6.5 days. Looks like this one will hit the coast as a strong Cat 3 or low Cat 4. For those thinking about purchasing a generator, don't cheap out buy a Generac, mine is 15 years old 5500/8500 watt.

Looks like it's going to be a rough one for some areas, stay safe.

We have a WC member who lives in the Miami area, maybe he will chime in.

Not to worry I'm stuck with Buc's....My brother taunts me with the weather in central WI right now.
Yet in January he is singing the blues.
