Default Ram 1500 with E-torque

Just pulled the trigger on a new Limited Ram 1500 with E-torque engine, 3.92 gear ratio, with all the bells and whistles in Granite Grey and Midnight package. Pick it up on Friday. First Ram product I have ever owned. Coming from a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with 6.2 engine with 200,000 miles.
Anyone have any feedback on their experience with this engine and towing capability?
Thanks in advance.

IMO, that is one of the nicest trucks out there. Limited interior will rival ANY luxury car. The 8 speed ZF transmission is flawless. I haven't driven the E-Torque, but I have driven plenty of Hemi's, and have always been happy with them.

Congrats on the new ride. Color me jealous.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted the 6'4" box and to find one on a lot was next to impossible. This will get to pull my Skeeter WX 2060 in style. I am looking forward to the four corner suspension as well.

I almost went with the same truck this time but had the same problem couldn’t find a crew cab with 6’ 4” box so ended up with another F150. My wheeler spends the winter in the back of my truck for ice fishing and I like being able to close the tailgate.

I do love my Ford but wanted to give ram a try this time.

because of my wifes work i drive everything and i mean everything.. lexus, range rover, all the truck brands you name it and to me the truck your buying it doesn't get better!!! i'd take a ram over any car or truck, anytime going outa town i tell her to bring me the ram 1500 longhorn, the limited is above that i'm pretty sure... its like going down the road in your living room doin 90 with 1 pinky finger on the wheel.. power? its a rocket ship with the 5.7.. gas? seems better than than the chevys but i don't keep track.. your stoked thats a beautiful rig.. towing? last trip with my boat loaded down with gear , coolers camping stuff, about 36-3700lbs i run up mountains out west and that boat aint even there.. what boat? as far as longevity between brands im not really sure

my 4 cents

My son has a loaded 1500 Ram 4 dr crew with the E-Torgue Hemi. He loves it, no mechanical issues.

I am running a Skeeter 2060. Total weight of about 5000#. I can't wait to hook the boat up with my rig. The Midnight addition really adds to the appearance with the granite quartz color. All in all. it is the nicest looking rig I have seen in a while.

Default Pictures of Truck and Boat

Here is my new rig with the boat. I think it is looking great. Pulls the boat with ease and love the air suspension.[ATTACH][ATTACH]Click image for larger version
