Anyway the last 10 years I have been using PLine CX http://p-line.com/line/fluorocarbon-coated/cx-premium as my go to line and buy it in 3000 yard spools on Amazon. I use 8# green for my spinning and 15# for my casting. The CX 8# is the same diameter as standard 6# and you'd be surprised at the break point. As I don't use 6# but it would be standard 4# diameter. I also think that being fluorocarbon coated helps when jig fishing and live bait rigging in clearer water. Just my 2 cents.
So much input from everyone on here. You read it right I am fussy about line diameter and like green. Will take a look at this one. How does the 8# cast like for jigs etc. Appreciate the advice

Gary, I fish Lac Seul at least 3 times a year and 90% is casting jigs, usually 1/4 oz. I like to cast plastics and my opinion is it PLine works fabulous because of the low stretch. Everyone I fish with now uses it but that is probably because I bring a 3000 yd spool and am the only one that has line available!
