Montana Ice Out Report
Even with it snowing out right now, I know there are a good number of lakes that are ice-free. I was wondering if there was a report for the northern lakes of the state: Noxon, Francis, Tiber, Fresno, and Nelson.
I have talked to a few people who have been already been to Ft Peck and reported it being 90% ice free. I have fished Holter and Hauser Reservoirs from the boat already, majority of those lakes are ice-free as well. I was told that Canyon Ferry is mostly open on the south end.
