How is the walleye fishing on Goebic going to be this year?
A good friend of mine who grew up between Berglund and Wakefield ( summered almost every year of his life on Goebic. ..still does) and is an avid walleye angler did not catch one walleye this past year on the lake. Not one. The only other person I know that has fished a lot on your lake is a guy and his family from lower Michigan. They have a cabin on your lake. One time his son told me about "Spring Perch Fishing" which he said takes place at night during the walleye spawn off of peoples docks and is anything but legal. If there is any truth to this that could have a massive impact over the years. I do most of my fishing on Portage lake so I certainly have seen highs and lows. Its slowly getting better. Slowly. I wish you all the success in the world. Good luck this season!
