Default Stereo antenna

The stereo antenna that came with my infinity radio is terrible. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good replacement antenna?

I have a 2016 impact with the Infinity radio and my AM reception is terrible like none. There is no visible antenna. What's up with that?

I have a visible antenna. it just doesn't seem to work well on the water. Not sure if it has something to do with the other electronics being on. There has to be something out there that will work.

Well I dug into my mess of wires and found one of those "hidden antennas" all wrapped up with a bunch of other wires. I removed the antenna wires from the mess and spread them out and bingo, AM reception. Didn't change FM reception.

So to the OP does this sound like your problem? I live between Milwaukee and Chicago.

Most boat builders install a AM/FM radio with only a wire antenna wrapped around something under the dash. Now you can get better reception with a car type antenna, especially if it extends like this one.

However, you must keep in mind between depth/GPS units and a trolling motor running you will experience interference on many stations. Turn off all the electronics next time you are on the water and watch your reception clear right up.

I bought my fusion black box marine radio from Crutchfield on line the guy on the phone told me you will need a power antenna and recommended one I cant remember the name. The boat Doc installed it with 4 speakers This radio picks up a ton of stations even in the garage awesome set up.Josh at the Doc said it was the best reception on a boat radio he has ever worked with. Good luck
