Default Lower Unit

Looking for a 1980 25hp Johnson lower unit. Wish it was just a nightmare but realized mine is cracked . Where can I look to get my hands on one? I've found a place in the cities that wants $600 but not sure I want to swallow that. Maybe I'm better off looking for a new boat?

Call Lockeman's in Detroit. 313 842 0268. They've been selling Johnson/Evinrude motors for 100 years. They have a ton of old motors and parts. Might be worth a call.

In the Milwaukee Craig's list there is a

1987 25hp outboard for sale for $600.

I wouldn't be surprised that if it is still for sale you could get it for a bit less.

This motor is 7 years newer than your motor.

Here is a 1999 25hp for sale for $500
