Russell Marine Navigation Light
Has anyone attached one of these lights on the top of a Talon to use for the stern navigation light? It seems like a convenient option. It ties into your light switch. I don't read where it is Coast Guard approved thou. I think there are a couple of other brands out there also. One of them folds up. With the new built in bow light it would be nice to flip a switch and you are good to go when it gets dark.

I'll bet they're using a Perko nav light attached to a custom cap that they've created.

It is a great addition
Had mine for close to two years now. Eliminates digging out the old pole and somebody in the back trying to help and come to find out the pole is just resting in the hole and about ready to fall out.
Can't see why it wouldn't be approved, it is about the same top light that is on the pole and actually it is pretty bright. Lights up the back of the boat. Don't know why it took Ranger so long to finally build in the front lights. Now all the lights go on with a push of a button. Very easy to install. |

Save yourself a bunch of money and just switch out your regular incandescent bulb in your stern light for a 10X brighter LED bulb that also uses 1/2 as much battery power.......

I have one on a boat with a Talon and love it. No more digging out the nav light- its alway there ready to go. Easy to wire in too. I'm mounting a Power Pole on a different boat and am just waiting on my Russell Nav light to get here.
