Fished near Rock Creek on Friday and did well. Mixed bag. Smallmouth, northern and walleye. Biggest 'eye was 5 lbs. Things are picking up now that the water temp is increasing. Couldn't get out Sat. b/c of the wind. Got all fish in 8-12 ft. pulling cranks.

We spent the week boat camping in Snow Creek and Cole Creek. Fished Timber Creek and caught about 20 dink walleye in two hours. We fished further down toward J marker and Snow Creek main points and found the sows. Biggest was 28 inches, plus northers up to 43 inches(24 lbs) most on jigs and cranks. SM were starting to gather on rocks pre-spawn. Water temps were about 58-60 degrees where the walleyes were moving through. Most were in 10-15 feet on mud lines off points. The pike we filleted had lots of ciscos up to 12 inches in them. The eater walleyes also were on ciscos.

Dogs went nuts one night and we found lion tracks the next morning about ten feet from the boat.Such a cool wild place.

This is the 43 inch northern. Love the sagging belly sows that look like they came from Canada.

Lots of 35-38 inchers as well.

Spent the week fishing between Heell Creek and The Narrows. Biggest walleye was 29 inches with lots of 17-26's in everything from 2 ft to 40 ft on cranks. Northerns eating pretty well. Crappies were all over the place west of Bone Trail and were fun for the grand kids on bobbers and jigs. SM are in about 12 feet to right up on rock piles. Perch were aggressive to say the least!
