My wife and I recently moved to the Crossville Tennessee area and I am looking for someone to fish with. I dont currently own a boat, but would be happy to split expenses.

You have someone to fish with, buy a boat, fish from pier, public docks, shorelines. Fishing isn’t catching so go fish.

Thank you for the advice. My point was to meet someone familiar with the area.

Suppose a local sidepiece who fishes and owns her own boat is out of the question?

I'd find a good guide and go with them a couple times. You'll find good areas to fish and they might know someone you can partner with as well as local clubs.
Good luck.
