Probably jigging, but sitting back on a nice afternoon watching a bobber and bs'ing with a friend ain't a bad way to go either.

I prefer trolling crank baits however I do enjoy jigging with a crawler or minnow too.

Bobber fishing
I spend time each year fishing for pan-fish with the grandson and his friends. I really enjoy that shout from one of them "I got one, I got one" followed by "can we keep it". I look forward to the outings to a local pond with the kids. Plus a plate of bluegill fillets ate like potato chips is my all time favorite.

Bobber fishing
I know my last post was not walleye fishing but when I think favorite fishing my grandson just comes to mind. The bluegill pond fishing trips have turned into taking him to Canada for a week of walleye fishing. At 15 he owns more fishing rods than I do. (And he out-fishes his grandpa)

This is kind of a tough question. I really enjoy trolling shallow water with a Lindy rig or spinner when the walleyes are putting the feed bag on post spawn. Vertical jigging is a blast during the summer. Then there's night bobber fishing. I miss doing that on Mille Lacs. If I had to choose one it would be trolling shallow water in the spring.

Mine would have to be jigging. Nothing better than an early morning on the lake with no noise just waiting for the tug tug pull.

My preferred method is bottom bouncing because, besides fishing, it provides me an opportunity to explore and learn the lake. Mind you, if I come across a pod of walleye exceeding 8 to 10 walleye, I switch to my jigging rod.

throwing cranks is my favorite, love it when a walleye smashes a crank. next most favorite is jigging raps in the boats, awesome to see the fish chase the raps on the sonar followed by Fish on! least favorite but very effective is bottom bouncing, rod gets heavy , another walleye ho hum....

My favorite way to catch walleye is with a fork ... dipping them out of the fryer. I don't care who caught them, I'll eat them!

Casting suspending cranks on wind blown points and humps.
