Default Merc 150 4s pro xs oil drain

Wondering if anyone has ever noticed this. I was warming my engine up on the muffs for annual maintenance and I noticed water coming out of the oil drain tube on the lower unit. Can't say I ever noticed this before. Is this a normal path for cooling water to come out when the drain is closed, or do I have any trouble? https://images.platforum.cloud/uploa...0caf0f6df2.jpg

I have never seen this. What year is the motor? I would bring this to your dealer. It should be covered I would think

It is a 2019. After I warmed it up and opened the drain, only used oil came out, no water.

I'm interested in this as well. The 150 Merc on my boat has been doing this for years, no water in oil problem and the motor runs great. I'm careful about not going over the turns recommended by Mercury on the oil drain tube when changing oil.
Let us know what you find, I'll try a dealer I trust to hear what they have to say.

I think they all do that. I think my regular 150 fourstroke does that. You might try the search engine. As I think I Remember a post on this some years ago.

Just heard back from the dealership. No issue, the mechanic says this is normal.
Case closed for me -

That's what other google searches came up with for me too, so no worries here either.
