Got it done this morning. Had 3 come in, front one was aggressive Tom and ran hard to the dekes. Shot him off the back of the decoys and he fell over the top. Put the bow down and picked up the shotgun and noticed one of the birds was a nice bearded hen. Got her as she watched the second Tom attack the decoys. First bearded hen for me, dropped her off at taxi on the way home. Thought about both of them together but couldn't justify the cost, and he was just average.

Congrats on getting your birds, I got lucky this morning also and got one with a 9" beard.
I had a bearded hen coming out in my yard 2 years ago, that one only had a beard about the size of a jake, definitely unique.

No video. Just a vid of them flopping around after all was said and done. Wish I would have videoed it. It was an exciting one.

Default field dress

When I am at our camp in another state and am planning on staying for three days to fill two tags, YES field dress and ice down in a cooler.
