Hello, The motor battery strength will display at the top of the remote for the Ulterra and the battery will continue to decrease as the batteries drain. The battery icon will only display when the prop is not running so the best thing to do it to monitor periodically after being out on the water a while. The motor does try to conserve energy to be able to stow, however if motor is actively being used when getting low that may not always be reliable so we recommend monitoring the strength of batteries.
