Heading to Glacial Lakes tomorrow to do some fishing. Will be at Roy Lake Resort catching some bass. Has anyone been fishing Waubay, Cattail, Kettle, Opitz or any of the other walleye producers in the area. Its been a weird year so maybe the bite will actually be on Roy this year. Memorial day is usually one of the other lakes. Thanks.

Bill

Cattail/Kettle was slow last week. 5-6 boats max, didn't see anyone doing better than we were (which was not very good).

Waubay is putting out some walleyes, but I've beeen running into mostly 15" fish. Spinner rigs with crawlers worked best for us.

Fished Roy Lake for walleyes on Sunday for about 3 hours after the weather broke. Had quite a few small fish and 17 and 18 on the end of the long bar close to dark. Dozens of northerns and a few smallmouth. Also fished Waubay for 3 hours on the way home and had a half hour frenzy in the mid of the day. Most fish were right at 15" on crawlers and perch color spinners. Outside of that short half hour in the same spot it was slow. We were there in the middle of the day and a guy coming off said it had been better in the morning. Fished West side. Family wasn't up for 4 footers on the east side. Report from Bitter was well also. Fish report seems to indicate smaller fish being caught yet on most of the main lakes.

Default Smallmouth

Fished Waubay a week ago...slow for walleyes. A few white bass left but mostly smaller males. Did best for smallmouth on Horseshoe (South of Webster)...there is some good boulder structure around the islands on the East side. If you get into the smallies, send me a PM. Best of luck, -Fry
