Default 200 yamaha 4 stroke

Looking for thoughts on this motor set up on a 2025 pro v. Is this going to be a dog? Anyone else run this set up?

I have a F225 on my 2025 IFS and it's plenty for me. Will run around 50mph if your wallet can take the gas bill. I'm still playing with propeller options, so I expect to get a little better holeshot in the future.

Your performance will also depend how many people are in the boat and the amount of gear and extras you carry.

I looked at another one with a F200 and the guy told me it would run mid 40's all day (again if you don't mind the bill and running wide open).

Yammies sure are nice though. Good Luck.

I am running a 200hp Verado Tiller on my 2075 pro V and it will do @ 44-48 mph with a 1/4 tank or so of fuel and my gear and me (240lbs) in it..... and..... that is here at 5200 ft in Denver.....
Yamaha 4 strokes are a sweet motor.... should be about the same with your 2025.... maybe a little quicker.... but who cares? we ain't in the racing business....

We run a 200 Yamaha 4 stroke on the 1975 and we consistently get upper 40's, I've gotten low 50's by myself with 1/4 tank of gas.

Great engine, not easy on gas at WOT.
