For the people that have batteries for 7 to 10 years, your lead acid batteries are not used much and your demand is very low in comparison with most fisherman. You also must be maintaining them properly(fluid and keeping them at 100% between uses). Without knowing everyone's demands it is hard to compare usage. The guy's with one smallish finder can't be compared to multiple 12 to 15' units. For starting only, that is very light usage. Add in Live wells and various other electric options require much more power to survive 3 to 4 years. Do the research for your specific needs. JMO Bob

indeed, basically without knowing the interstate model you use, no-body knows really who made it..
If you search the internet about the MT7 AGM, you will find a interstate video suggesting it's their factory.... In fact the same video was released by Enersys the makers of the Odyssey & Odyssey extreme, they didn't claim being interstate The Die-hard Platinum AGM was also an Odyssey Enersys is i believe the worlds largest in the biz Some of them models they sell ARE imports Last edited by cyber16; 07-15-2021 at 10:36 AM. |

#1 Son is actually in the bachery sales business for Factory Motor Parts.
He states that batteries today are indistinguishable across brands for the same technology - lead/acid (1859) is just like anyone else's lead/acid, AGM (1972) types are just like anyone else's AGM type, etc. Warranty length is the best guide to the quality that went into the bachery manufacture - you get what you pay for, regardless of manufacturer. Bachery tech is OLD - even the rechargeable rare-earth types (Zinc/Carbon @1880s, NiCd @1899, Li-ion @1912, NiM-H @1989, etc.) - have been around for decades already. Not even sure patents are valid on any bachery tech anymore, having mostly expired due to age - other than maybe some new twists that Tesla might be doing right now. at the price of batteries at wall mart compared to a lot of the other batteries out there I'll stick with wall marts ever start 27 deep cycle battery-only running 81.00 I'll take 2 of them for what 1 of some of the others charges for the same size battery. or the 29 battery for 89.00 that's hard to beat with a name-brand battery.

Does Walmart or Fleet Farm take your old battery as an exchange?
