Looks good bud, getting away from that rivet line and closer to the SI is a good thing. When on the water pay attention to your arch shapes, if you're getting all half arches you just have to adjust the angle of your transducer relative to the bottom of your boat. I'll include pic as a reference for you.

No need to drill into transom with the adhesives that are out now a days. Itrain if u take a long sweeping turn with that 2d mounted further away from midship, u will lose signal with the bottom, especially if it's on the outside edge side of boat on the turn and it's a little bumpy out. Not sure about your luck but with mine, I do something like that and it's a guaranteed bottom kiss
