Default HOME GROWN TACKLE:Painting stuff-

Well hello all of you die hard tackle junkies,I have been thinking about painting tackle, jig's,plugs, blades, weights anything I can throw into the water.I've tried numerous types of painting from vinal dip paints to bake on powders.I have yet to try an air brush, but I've used rattle cans, even finger nail polish.

SO LET'S TALK PAINTING,HOME GROWN STYLE!!!

What do you use?
What do you paint?
Can you recommend products to those of us who want to learn?
Show us your work bench, spray booth....
Can you show us your mad skills?

FC

Hey Folks heads up here this was for instructional purpose only no buying or selling is permitted by anyone on the WC forums!

Normally it's tape and paint. Spray paint and masking tape.

Sauger Slayer buys powder paint (various pretty colors) sets up the kitchen table to include all colors of paint, his torch, a beer, pair of plier thingys, and too much other stuff that I don't know what it is. The he goes through the whole heating the jig up, dipping it and uses some other tools to make lines and stuff on it. I must say since he took up using my kitchen table as a work space it has really made the table more colorful....instead of a drab old table.

Default His next paints

Maybe next time he needs more paint I should tell him I need a new kitchen aid mixer with all the attachments! For all the stuff I want for the mixer it should only cost about 500 bux.

I can't believe with all of the talk about painting there have been no questions in this thread?

Well I know that a bunch of you folks out there paint including me.Now I only powder coat, and play with fingernail polish but I call it painting.
I like to powder coat jig's and the more I do it the better at it I get.I tried to powder coat some blades but I burned them.

Next for me is an airbrush. Now if one is going to airbrush things do they need a booth to spray in?

I don't think you need a booth to airbrush. There is always someone at a mall around Christmas time airbrushing t-shirts. Lots of web sites...and i'm sure a few videos on youtube...out there detailing how to do it.
