Default Vermilion Bay Lodge

Vermilion Bay Lodge is east of Kenora and has a very reasonable weekly rate in Loonie funds.

Hello: I don't know what you mean. I thought they all did. Just convert it one way or the other. Good Luck. O - R

Here is an example of what the difference is.

I go to resort A which charges me $300 CDN. I pay with my credit card. With the exchange rate being in favor of the US dollar (right now about .76 cents to the CDN) I'm charged roughly $228 American.

If I go to resort B which charges me $300 US, I pay $300 US. But the owner makes $395 CDN.

You are making it too complicated; Resort "A" charges $300 CDN while resort "B" charges $395 CDN

Your choice of which resort you wish to use based on what is provide for the rate being charged.

You know what is funny about this. I actually have this situation. And Resort A is a lot nicer than Resort B. So I go to a nicer resort and I save $72 in this case. And Resort A is closer, so I save on gas too. But that will change when the exchange rates swing the other way. Doesn't really matter to me though. I just go to fish and a few $ doesn't make or break the deal. Take care.

What's funny about this is that some folks are entirely incapable of comparing apples to apples.

I've learned a lot of very good things from this website. Things that have helped me be a better prepared fishermen. And when possible, I try to pay those things forward. So I thought I was helping someone understand the affect of the exchange rate to help them "compare apples to apples". Please forgive me if I wasn't clear enough.
