Default Mississippi River Pool Nine(Genoa, Wi.)Pool 8 Lacrosse

Well we are catching a very interesting mix of fish right now. Walleye, Northern, Largemouth,Smallmouth, Crappie, and Sauger all in the same areas. With the water up and staying on Pool 9 and the water finally dropping on Pool 8 the fish seem confused about where to be.
Usually they would be somewhat seperated right now, but it just hasn't happened yet. Ofcource as many of you know on rivers, rising water and current often pushes fish towards the dam and it seems like the fish are confused which way to go. Last night in 3 1/2 hours there was over thirty bass caught ,some nice walleye,12 inch crappie, and a 3 foot plus nothern all within 3/4 mile of each other. You may have heard that 20+ pound average for two days won the local WAT Walleye tourney and that was with high and muddy water. We are into Bass in the 2.5 -4# range every day. Once last night seven casts in a row brought in Largemouth. Lawrence http://www.thewalleye.net
