I have 3 augers (Ion 8", Jiffy Propane 10", Drill/Lite Flight).

I should really sell the ION, as I haven't used it once all winter. Typically I do ALL of my drilling with my drill/adaptor/auger setup.

I only use the Jiffy anymore when I'm fishing BIG fish like trophy walleyes or Pike.

I use a Dewalt 996 (comes with 2 batteries, never ran out of power yet).

Good luck.

I'm going to fire up the old Jiffy today and make sure it is running good. It also has a 12" extension so I don't have to bend over so far with thick ice. We had minus -22° this morning so I'm betting we are now pushing 22" - 24" of ice. Time for the gas auger. If I am drilling holes for inside my popup I will use the electric drill. I hate that gas exhaust smell inside a ice shack.
