It’s all brands and styles of boats. I see on the Malibu forum people who ordered last fall and wont likely see their boats in time for this season

I think it’s a marketing tactic, scarcity allows a raise in price, pushing 104 - 118k for a basic pro v is just ridiculous. Heard several time because over years due to cost of aluminum went up but that’s BS in 2015 it was $1665 a ton and today it’s $1685 and even if it were 2K it’s 2300Lbs.

I would by the new Rage if i were going to spend 125k

Every manufacturer is suffering from some sort of raw material shortages.

Autos are suffering from microchip shortages and stopping assembly lines.

I also seen a video explaining the resin shortages for fiber glass. All these windmills are taking a huge amount of resin to make the blades.

I am sure every manufacturer is suffering from material shortages in one way or another.

Hard to find a good deal on a used boat too. I’d hate to have been all fired up about getting a boat this winter only to enter this market

I guess the question is...
Will the production ever catch up and will said market then be flooded with boats???

Yay, my turn.
New Alumacraft was ordered by the dealer at end of last August. When I bought this from dealer just before Christmas they estimated March delivery. Now Alumacraft says it is scheduled to be out of production June 6th. Lucky to have by 4th of July at this point?
Considering looking elsewhere, but probably screwed either way.
Of course Alumacraft forwards all correspondence you send them directly to the dealer and they answer nothing on their own. What if there is a dealer problem? How would they ever know this or discuss this with you? Perhaps demand is so high, that they don't really care. Sad.

It is a different world right now. I have guys who want to buy my boat but, I can't get the guy going that has a boat I want to buy. Just dragging his feet for whatever reason. Oh well, if he doesn't get to me soon i'll just keep this boat another year.

A guy certainly has to work harder at buying a boat these days then in years past. I feel sorry for you guys waiting on new boats from the factories.
